Aged under 16, or aged 16, 17 or 18 and in full-time education
Aged 60 or over
Diagnosed with diabetes or glaucoma
Aged 40 or over with a direct family history of glaucoma (e.g. parent or sibling)
Considered at risk of glaucoma by an ophthalmologist
Registered as sight-impaired or severely sight-impaired
Prescribed Complex Lenses (refractive power greater than 10 dioptres)
Receiving certain benefits, including Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance (Income-Based), Employment and Support Allowance (Income-Based), Pension Credit Guarantee Credit, Universal Credit, Holding a valid HC2 Certificate.
Under 16 years old – 1 year
Under 7 with binocular vision problems or glasses – 6 months
7-16 years with rapidly increasing myopia – 6 months
16-69 years old – 2 years
70 years and older – 1 year
Patients with diabetes – 1 year
Patients with glaucoma – 2 years
Relevant Family History of Glaucoma - 1 year
Ocular Hypertension – 1 year
